Late July is winter on the Gold Coast, offering mild and pleasant conditions perfect for conferences. Expect daytime temperatures around 20-23°C with cooler evenings around 10-15°C. It's generally dry with minimal rainfall and plenty of sunshine. Pack layers including a light jacket for evenings and air-conditioned venues. The mild weather is ideal for outdoor networking events like our Poolside Welcome function.
JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Gold Coast Airport, making it easily accessible for interstate delegates. The resort also offers convenient access to light rail transport for exploring the Gold Coast.
You'll need contact details for all attendees you're registering (including yourself), any dietary requirements or special needs, and a credit card for payment. All conference communications will be sent electronically, so it’s important you enter separate email addresses for each team member attending.

The resort offers on-site self-parking at $5.00 per hour or $24.00 per day. Alternatively, there's a public car park located 0.5km from the resort.
Absolutely! Partners and children are welcome to join you on the Gold Coast. While conference sessions are designed for optometry professionals, the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa offers excellent family facilities including the award-winning lagoon pool, kids' activities, and is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise with easy access to theme parks and attractions. Adult guests can join you at all social events - including the Poolside Welcome function, Saturday evening Themed Dinner, and Sunday's Gala Dinner and Afterparty - for an additional cost that can be added during registration.
Payments
Full payment for all attendees is required at time of registration via credit card only. All payments will incur a merchant fee of 1.32%.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be advised in writing to ProVision via conference@provision.com.au. You may nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge at any time prior to the event by contacting us in writing. Cancellations after 12th June 2026 will not be refunded. Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation.
Insurance
It is your responsibility to obtain your own insurance to cover medical, travel and registration expenses.

ProVision reserves the right to change activities, topics and presenters as necessary.
Force Majeure
ProVision shall not be liable for any loss caused by event cancellation due to Force Majeure circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, utility failures, public health emergencies, industrial action, terrorism, or government orders. If PRISM 2026 is cancelled due to Force Majeure, we will endeavour to reschedule the conference. If rescheduling is not possible, we will issue a refund or 12-month credit note for future events.
Imagery & Footage
By participating in this conference, you grant ProVision the right to record, film, livestream, photograph or capture you in any media and to distribute or broadcast such media in perpetuity without future approval required.
